Before the official appeared Michele d'Alessandro, age 31, a shoemaker residing here at Strada Santa Margarita, to present a child to the official ... and to declare that this child was born to Carmela Marotta, his legitimate wife, age 38, a spinner residing with her husband, [birth] on 11 of said month (August) at 8 AM at home.
The child was given the name Luigi d'Alessandro
Present as witnesses to the declaration and presentation were Saverio Vigliotta, and Francesco Gentile, farmers...

Notation in margin:
Luigi married on 31 October 1895 (#118) in Maddaloni, with Giovanna Scalera.
