Moiano, Benevento, Italy - RUGGIERO

Post by bagnea »

Hi

Does anyone know if the birth, deaths and marriage records are online anywhere for the "Comune di Moiano" in Benevento? I'm trying to find out ANYTHING about my wife's grandmother. We know she was born in 1897 in Moiano and was called Giuseppa Ruggiero. That's it.

I don't know where to look...any help would be great.

Thanks

Neil

Hello Neil,

Unfortunately, there do not seem to be any records online for Moiano.
The LDS holds microfilmed records, but they cover 1809-1860.

So I would suggest you write to the Comune of Moiano to request her birth record...

Address:
Ufficio dello Stato Civile
Via Roma, 61
82010 Moiano (BN)

I know it's been a few years, but if you're still interested there are more records for Moiano up at antenati.san.beniculturali.it. And I think I found your wife's grandmother:

You're welcome! My great-great-grandfather was a Ruggiero from Moiano, though his father was originally from Mirabella Eclano in Avellino. I don't think your wife and I are closely related from what I've found, but it's possible!
