Birth Record for Gelsomina Zambrotta Translation

Post by Dianeb »

I am so excited, I just found my grandmothers birth record. I was told that when my grandmother was a widow and wanted to marry in the 1950's she sent away to Sanza for her birth record and was told that after the war many of the records were ruined and they couldn't send it to her. So you can understand my excitement that I found it!!! Can someone please translate this for me? Here is the link for her record:

Thank you
Diane

Here it is:

Appearing before the official was Giovanni Zambrotta, 25, farmer residing in Sanza, to declare that at 11:05 AM on the 24th of the current month, to Maria Citera, his wife residing with him, was born a female child, who he presented to the official, and to whom was given the name GELSOMINA
Witnesses to the record were Gennaro Bianco, 32, citizen; and Nicola De Luca, 40, manufacturer, both residents of the town.
