help with translation of Poletti death cert 1890 Villa di Tirano

Post by kazzad »

I have recently come across a death entry (Atti Di Morte- Villa di Tirano, 1890) for Giuseppe Poletti, who I am very much hoping is my gg grandfather (paternal). From our (Australian) history I knew Giuseppe Poletti was married to Maria Bassi (b abt 1837, died Qld, Aust 16/9/1913, after emigrating 1902 to be with her 2 sons Giacomo (1864-1948) and Giuseppe (1869-1944). I found an article that mentioned Giacomo as leaving Villa di Tirano to avoid draft, and Giacomo named Villa di Tirano on his naturalization paperwork in Australia. The father Giuseppe (on this death record) we assumed must have died for Maria to leave Italy in her 60's. I have tried to decipher this record and have much info, but the handwriting is really throwing me :(
Thankyou in anticipation of assistance- What a wonderful site this is, thankyou for allowing me to join.
