Question about marriage act

Post by pm16 »

Hello,
I'm trying to figure out if Angelo Raffaele D'Ambrosio and Fortunata Bruno were married earlier in Brazil and if it was just recorded in Italy in 1922. I think I found a baptism record on their daughter, Angelina who was born in Brazil in 1906. I'm trying to figure out if she is actually their daughter. Can someone please translate what is handwritten on this marriage act.

Thank you!

The marriage in Italy is dated March 4, 1922

The handwritten portion is as follows:

First you have the two marriage publications in this town-Feb 12th and 19th.

Then you have a lot of info about their children-10 in total

In the presence of the stated witnesses, the couple exposed that from their natural union was born 10 children, 7 in the state of S. Paolo Brazil, and 3 in Italy

The acts of the children born in Brazil were recorded in the registers of this town as follows:

1. Assunta D'Ambrosio-born Jan 26, 1903-recorded in the register of 1918, Second Part, B, number 2
2. D'Ambrosio, Giuseppe born April 28, 1904, in the register of 1910, Second Part, B, number 1
3. The children Angelina, Erasuma (not sure about this first name), Alfredo, Lucia, Elvira, in the register of the current year with numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 in Second Part, series B. In all of these acts, the names of the parents/declarants(spouses) in this marriage record, are regularly stated.

The birth in Italy of the three other children was announced to the official of this civil state. The first Olga D'Ambrosio born on Oct 30, 1914.The second Riccardo D'Ambrosio, born on Dec 12, 1916, and the third Raffaele D'Ambrosio born on April 18, 1920. In these stated acts, the name of the mother is not indicated.

(With)The present act (this marriage act), all of children whose mother's name was not indicated (were recognized as) as their own children, to the effect of their legitimization.

You're very welcome. I've never seen such a marriage record before. Certainly a lot of info. Unfortunately, the birth record years, in which the records were recorded in this town in Part II, are not online.
