Lucrezia Campagna - Piemonte

Post by dvasques »

Hi all,

I am also trying to find some information regarding my great-great-grandmother, Lucrezia Campagna. She is from the region of Piemonte and emigrated to Brazil with her parents and sisters in 1900.
Some information:
Father: Francesco Campagna (38 years old when arrived in Brazil)
Mother: Barbara Campagna (35)

She was 9. The link for the Brazilian immigration record is this:
http://www.inci.org.br/acervodigital/li ... ilia=54990.

Any help is highly appreciated! Thanks!!!

Hi
Is the correct surname Campagna or Campana? Both exist in Italy
And are you sure the region was Piemonte? Following your link the name Piemonte is listed under "Vapor". Doesn't that mean that they arrived on board of a ship named Piemonte?
Ciao
Paola

Thanks to you both!

In her marriage certificate, surname appears as Campagna. So I assumed it was Campagna.
Regarding the region, as the Piemonte ship came from Genoa, which is nearby, I also assumed their region was Piemonte.

It seems my assumptions were quite misleading...

I just received an e-mail from the comune of Spoleto saying that they haven't found any birth record for Lucrezia Campana (or Campagna), born around 1891 (they say they have searched 5 years before and after), daughter of Francesco and Barbara.

Is there any digital repository for the records of the provinces of Perugia and Terni, where the surname is more concentrated, according to the mmogno's post above?

Or is this the case of e-mailing those comuni one by one?

By the way, Lucrezia was married in Brazil to Michele Gramuglia (this thread: https://www.italiangenealogy.com/forum/ ... logy/41027), and their son, Carmo, was marriage to Nayr Dosualdo (this thread: https://www.italiangenealogy.com/forum/ ... logy/42863).

Building the tree of this family has been quite challenging! :)
Thanks for the help!
