The solemn promise to marry is on the left. The right side is the church marriage.

Left side dated Feb 6, 1834 at 4 P.M.

Francesco Saverio d'Avino, age 24, colono (tenant farmer), living in Frigento on Strada S Pietro, son of Fedele, colono, and Rosaria Stanco (deceasesd).

Tomasina Pascucci, age 25, born in Frigento, daughter of Pasquale (Pascucci), colono, and Antonia Penta.

The groom had the assistance of only his father, as his mother was deceased. The bride had the assistance of both of her parents.

Notification of this promise was posted on the door of the town hall on Jan 12, 1834.

The actual marriage took place on Feb 6, 1834 in the church of Santa Maria Maggiore dell'Assunta in Cielo in Frigento on Feb 6th.

Tommasina (her first name spelled with two letter m's) died in Frigento on June 14, 1881 in the house at #18 Contrada Corno at 10:40 P.M. She was the daughter off deceased Pasquale Pascucci and deceased Antonia Penta. She was the widow of Francesco d'Avino. She was age 72 at death.

BTW, someone on ancestry.com has an 1809 birth record for her, but I don't have a subscription and can't access it.

Thanks, Erudita. I have an Ancestry account, I'll look for the 1809 birth record. Let me know if you need anything.
