My name is Gustavo and some of my family live in Buenos Aires where I also lived for 5 years and I have been looking for some years now, my Italian origins. My great grandfather's name is Juan Refrancore. He was born either in 1886 or 1887.
I CANNOT for the life of me find any relevant info on him other then the village of Refrancore and I even went close to it in Italy making calls to different registration offices and nobody seems to have any records containing this name.
In Buenos Aires, my family kept his work document without any helpful info and also his retirement card.
I have asked already at migration offices who directed me to other places and ended up in the Museum of Immigration who happen to keep records of immigrants on boats that arrived between 1882-1953 and not even THERE!
I am starting to feel hopeless after this news I got today, I don't know where else to turn. If anyone knows anything, I would be SO greatful, thanks!
