Translation of Birth Record #23 - Vincenzo Riccio

Post by OrangeBlossom44 »

I would appreciate help translating this birth record and marginal notes. An acquaintance and I believe that in 1895 (but can't read day and month in marginal notes), her Vincenzo may have married a possible "cousin" of mine, a Biondi named Elisa or Elisabetta Biondi. I have found 2 children born to the couple in the Stato Civile Italiano, Rodolfo b. 1900 (#5) and Luigi b. 1897 (#58) in San Salvatore Telesino, Benevento, Campania. Neither birth record provides the name of Elisa's parents or her age at the time of each child's birth.

Also, I do not see any 1895 marriage records for San Salvatore Telesino in the Antenati. Do you know if they exist anywhere?

Thank you very much for your help.

Claire

Birth record:

1 April 1871 ... appeared Antonio Riccio, son of Michelangelo, age 43(?), living here, presented a baby boy, born on the 29th of March, by his wife Maria Bord(?), daughter of Casarino ... given the name Vincenzo.

Margin:

3 June 1895 in the town of San Salvatore Telesino ... matrimony with Biondi Elisa

Someone else might be able to fill in the blanks.

Thank you, Kevin. Much appreciated. 😊

I WOULD ALSO APPRECIATE OTHERS LOOKING AT THIS RECORD FOR:

-- NAME OF MOTHER, AGE OF MOTHER, NAMES OF HER FATHER, ETC.

Thank you all.

Upon closer look, the mother’s father’s name appears to be Carmine. For some reason they do not appear to have given the mother’s age.

I agree with Carmine. I think the mother's surname is Bove.

Good call, Erudita. I should have compared the writing to ‘ventinove’ in the line above. It would have been obvious then.
