I have a huge section of family from Montemiletto and I suspect some people on this chain are my cousins as well. Family names include Deluca, D'amelio, Guarante, Pisano and a few others. My great Grandmother Irena D'amelio born in 1886 (daughter of Amadeo D'amelio(b.1845) and Antonia Pisano(b.1860) emigrated to the US in 1903 and died in 1942 in Boston. Her first husband was Luigi Deluca (b.1882)married april 9,1905 in boston , Second Husband(my great grandfather) Angelo Guarante (b. Feb 9,1869) (son of Generous Guarante (b.1844) and Maria Carmella Deluca (b. 1836 d.1895) married March 14th, 1910. and one final marriage to Saverio forte (b.1891) we have many D'amelio cousins and im trying to track back any of the Delucas , Guarante and D'amelio cousins to Italy! thanks

Hi NJ Brogna,

I come from the Damato family tree out of Hoboken NJ and I believe your wife Great Grandfather Frank was married to my 2nd Great Aunt Rose Damato.

I dont have much history on the Brogna family but I have some on the Damato family. Have you come across anything on the Damato Family?

Thanks!

Mark

NJBrogna wrote: 26 Nov 2015, 17:11 As with others here, I'm looking for some help to determine possible links to relatives from Montemiletto. My wife's great grandfather Flaminio "Frank" Brogna was born in Montemiletto between 1887-1890. He ended up in New Jersey, married Rose d'Mato, and had 7 children between 1909-23 (Lillian, Mary, Mildred, John, Angelina, Joseph, Frank). I've found two possible Flaminio Brogna's - but not sure which is the match.

1) Flaminio Brogna b1887, son of Giovannatonio Brogna (1858-1944) & Maria Diletta Gubitosa (1857-1906)

2) Flaminio Brogna b1890, son of Alesandro Brogna (1847-?) & Maria Carmela Colella (1853-?)

Thanks in advance!

Hey! We spoke a few years ago. My great great grandfather was Luigi married to Irena. I was wondering if you have any information on him. I’ve been able to find a lot on her side but nothing on his. Thanks!

I have Angelo Sacco born 1875 in Montemiletto. He married Anna Lanzillo born 1878 in Taursi. Parents were Ciarico Lanzillo and Fannie Amati. Does anyone recognize these people?
