Raimondi death certificate
Raimondi death certificate
I've attached what appears to be the death certificate for my ancestor, Francesco Raimondi, who died on 30 Sep 1761 in Prizzi, Sicily, the son of Michelangelo. However, I am a bit confused by the word "Mizzitello" following his surname. Is that perhaps a middle name, as in "Francesco Mizzitello Raimondi"? Or is it a profession? Or something else? Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!
Re: Raimondi death certificate
It looks like a double surname (possibly lost hereafter) or a family nickname.
Giuseppe "Pippo" Moccaldi

Re: Raimondi death certificate
Thank you! Does it mean anything? It must have been dropped afterwards, as I have not seen it in either of his two marriage records.
I have not yet been able to find any birth, marriage or death records for his father Michelangelo to see if that name appears in those records.
