Help reading a passenger list.

Post by Frankie514 »

I am looking at line 16. I can only read the first few columns on page 1. I am very interested in learning the names of the relatives or friends. Thank you.

My thoughts...
Looks like he is leaving his cousin Lorenzo(?) in S. Maria Capua Vetere.
His destination is Bridgeport, Conn.
Going to his brother-in-law Vincenzo Razzano(?) at 131 Illard St.

Tessa, thank you for reading the names of my Grandfather's relatives. I found my Grandfather's birth record and the translation says he was abandoned when he was born on August 8, 1888 in the town of Capua. His surname was invented by the town officials. I searched and could not find any records of him being claimed either by the birth parents or anyone else. When he was 20, he left Italy in 1908. Do you have any ideas of where I could look?

I looked over the birth act, and in it is stated that with the child was a card on which was written "Idolo, Raimondo, Eduardo" And that the card was put into the allegati of births.

You might want to look for this allegati (attachments/documents) related to the birth (year 1888)
Generally, there are no indices with the allegati, so you will need to look through them; and you may still not find one.

I will also search for you...
