I want to ask for my Italian citizenship, the surname is Caputo, they came to Brazil between 1850 and 1870, we do not know for sure where in Sicily they came from, because sometimes the information comes from Sicily or Calabria, we know little about them, information that I have, if someone knows something that can help us, we will be grateful.

His name was Felicio Caputo (I believe in Italian is Felice), came to Brazil with two more brothers Rafael Caputo (I believe it is Rafaele) and Francisco Caputo (Franchesco) according to Obito's certificate he died in 1920 in Brazil with 78 years old, that is to say, was born in 1842 in Italy, because the certificate mentions "Italian, from the heart", which says that he was born in Italy.

Hola soy de Argentina, mi abuelo era CAPUTO, Nicola nacido en Oliveto Lucano Provincia de MATERA, en el año 1881. Se que emigro a Estados Unidos y luego a Argentina, no se si hay familia en Brasil. Si te sirve el dato podes averiguar en esa comuna de Italia, por ahi te dan informacion. Yo tambien busco familiares. Otro dato es que al llegar a América le cambiaron su apellido por CAPUTI, otro dato que te puede servir. Suerte!
