Translation of a Marriage Record

Post by sidney512 »

I would be incredibly grateful if someone could translate this record for me:
http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0
It is the one on the right, marriage between Domenico Maria Lepore and Maria Giuseppa Iorio. Thank you so much!

#41 - dated 29 November 1817
Groom: Domenico Maria Lepore, tailor, age 24, residing in Morrone, minor assisted by his father, tailor, age 66, residing with his son. His mother Coronata Ranellucci died on 2 January 1811.
Bride: Maria Giuseppa Iorio, farmer, age 23, residing in Morrone, assisted by her father, Agostino, farmer, age 43, and by Emanuela Sottorelli(?), her mother, farmer, age 46, both residing with their daughter.
The banns of marriage were posted on the door of the town office on 15 November and 22 November. There was no opposition found to the marriage. The couple was then asked if each takes the other as spouse and joined in marriage according to the laws of the Council of Trent .
Witnesses: Luigi Feri(?), 22, tailor residing in Morrone, and Pasquale Toro, 25, shoemaker residing in said place, Giorgio Pellicciotto, 23, mason residing in said place, and Domenico Colla, 27, carpenter residing in said place.

Note: The father's given name was not written in the record, but he signed the document as "Gio Lepore" at the bottom.

Thanks, mmogno, for the clarification of those surnames...

And for seeing the father's given name in the document :-)
