Tracing Sardinian birth father

Post by Rich ellett »

Im looking for my birth father who was of Sardinian decent born in 1942 or 1943

His name is Antonio Fiori

The only information I have was he was a waiter at the Gleneagles hotel in Scotland in 1966-68
And I’m not sure if it’s possible to find details about him entering the UK?

I have a photo of him in Sardinia when he was about 18-20 years old.

I can’t find any record of him still being in the UK. Births deaths marriages don’t tie in with anyone of his birth year or anywhere near.

I’d like to know how I could search births in Sardinia it seems very difficult there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated even if there is a professional fee.

Thanks

Hi Marty

Thanks for the reply.

I’m pretty sure his name was Antonio as my adoption records and my birth mother confirmed that. There was no mention of him being from the Uk with mixed parents and certainly I have a photo of him when he was young in Sardinia so I don’t think it’s him.

Really appreciate you trying though...

Hi
I can confirm the Anthony Fiori as mentioned as part of your search can be ruled out. He was my Uncle and has always lived and worked in Doncaster. He was employed as a coal miner and had never worked in Scotland. My Nan was Yorkshire girl and my Grandad from Florence.
I wish you well in finding your father.
