Frank Capra - Connected to my Capra Ancestors?

Hi all!

I know that Frank Capra's ancestors were from Sicily, in Bisacquino. My Capra ancestors were from Corleone, which is not too far away at all. I know that my Capras were once "Crapas".....were Frank's ancestors also Crapas?

With the help of this board, i was able to trace back the following Crapas:

Antonino Crapa: born 3 Dec 1857 Corleone, Sicily, Italy. Died in Cook County, IL on 24 May 1945
Son of:
Leoneluca Crapa (Est: born about 1832)
Son of:
Antonio Crapa (Est: born about 1808)
Son Of:
Leonelucca Crapa (Est: born about 1783)

Is anyone able to connect these families for me?

Here is the baptism record for Francesco (Frank) Rosario Capra on 18 May 1897.
He was the son of Salvatore Capra and Rosaria Nicolosi.
Top left #159.
There is a notation in the margin referring to his second wife, Lucille Warner.

There is also a copy of a notafication of marriage to Lucille Warner in 1952.
He was married to Lucille Warner in 1928, but it appears this notification was of a "dispensation" to marry in the church (probably because he was divorced from his first wife).

You would have to trace his family back in time to see if you could establish a connection to your Capras.

Thank you! Is that as far as we can go back for Frank Capra? Any records on Salvatore Capra, where he was born, and who his parents were and where they were born?

Has anyone found anything on Frank Capra's grandparents? Benedetto Capra and Luisa (Aloysius) Maienza?

I'm trying to see if there is a connection between my Capras (Crapas) and Frank Capra.
