I don't know if this is too much to ask but can anyone read the handwriting regarding my family's records? I am having much difficulty making out the words and so can't even begin to translate.

This is the birth record of Pasquale de Rosa. Most of the normal preprinted language about his birth is scratched out and replaced with other facts. It appears that this is not the being presented by the parents, and I don’t believe that it says who they are. Dated May 17, 1842.

On the 6th? of August 1845 Biagio Castelli, age 39, profession farmer, appeared at city hall in Castelli and presented a baby girl who he declared was born of Domenica di Simone, age 39, his legitimate wife…. He declared that the baby was given the name of Mariangela.

The birth act states that he was found at the wheel of the abandoned by 72yo Berardo Fuina who was the custodian of the wheel [ruota]. The child had with him 2 cloth strips, but no other signs or notes. He appeared to be about 1 day old. The child was consigned to a wet nurse and was given the name Pasquale De Rosa.

After rereading it I agree with Tessa. The handwriting is difficult on this one.
