If colono means tenant farmer and proprietario means landowner, how can someone be listed in death notice as a colono proprietario in 1915 Salerno province??? Thanks!

Also, what occupation is a - vetturino?

I'd say "colono" works the land though he doesn't own it; a "proprietario" is an owner who doesn't need to work the land, but has others to work for him; "colono proprietario" owns a land and works on it for a living.
A "vetturino" is a cart driver.
