using antenati

Post by researching »

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if anyone has the same trouble as I do with the photos on the antenati site. It could be that my computer is old (or that I'm old), but here's what's happening.

When I click on a photo to enlarge it, I have trouble moving it around. As soon as I try to move it, it disappears and I can't seem to get it back into the image window. I try doing this over and over. Sometimes it works and I can click the plus sign to enlarge it and then move it up a few lines before I have to click the plus sign again. When I use my phone with a touch screen, I can move the picture around just fine, but it becomes too blurry to see.

Do you guys have the same problem, or is it just me?

I use it all the time but have not had that problem. You might try it in a different web browser. I normally use Chrome and have never had the issue. I use firefox occasionally as well, and haven't had trouble with it. I don't use Microsoft Edge.

I use chrome too. I think I'm going to go "borrow" one of the kids' gaming mice and see if adding a mouse works.

Yes, at times, I have similar problems, and it is such a time waster. Usually I just download the image to my computer, after zooming in on it, and translate the image from my desktop. I know of other people who have this same issue. I generally use Chrome as well.

Thanks for your reply, Angela.

I keep having this day dream of throwing my computer out the window and watching it fall from the apartment building, crash down onto the square below, and explode, all while the people having coffee outside in the square watch my madness.

:) Oh dear! That sounds more like a nightmare to me. (I can relate though. It's exasperating sometimes.)

The LEAST compatible browser that I've used is Mac's "Safari", on my MacBook. Mac is famous for not playing nice with other software, the Apple behemoth is all "my way or the highway". So when I'm having an issue that I think is browser-related, I jump over to Chrome. I have different issues with the Google behemoth, which is why they are not my default browser choice, but at least it can handle some of the third party programs that baffle Safari.

What I have discovered (using chromium/chrome) is that if you have scrolled down at all on the image before clicking for the zoomed version that you sometimes have trouble scrolling in the zoom window. But if I scroll the main window back to the top of the image then it works fine.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this but what I do is right click pic and open in new tab. This way you can enlarge. I had the same problem.

Hey Ellen,

Your trick works great! What a time (and nerve) saver. Have you found a way to control how much you enlarge to photo?

I can view the images properly on the website but when I download them on to my laptop I find they are very fuzzy when I enlarge them. Has anybody else had this problem plewase?

I have had this problem, jazzycat.

Try right clicking on the image and opening it in another tab, then download.
