Vasapolli Surname

Post by Ron Vasapolli »

Hi. Looking for any information. My grandfather left Sicily in the early 1900's. His name was Vincenzo and he had a sister. It was rumored that she relocated to France and my grandfather came to America. There also seemed to be some drama, a step mother!!!!! Also rumored to have come from the town of Cacessetti (sp incorrect). Thanx in advance for any info..

Best.....

When you don't know the correct spelling of the town name google Comunes in Sicilia and scroll down the list. Remember that your ancestors would have spelled how they pronounced it so say it out loud.
I suspect it was Caltanissetta. Records should be found on line.
