This is a birth record from 1804-5 from Rocca Canavese (source is Archivio di Stato di Torino online records). I am trying to determine the word in front of the name Giovanni (underlined in red). Thank you for your help!

It appears to be an abbreviation for Maestro - "Mtro" - an honor title for a master craftsman or teacher
