Translation Of Marraige Certificate

Post by imwormer »

Could someone please help me translate this marriage certificate. I believe this is linked to a possible relative, a Calogero DiMarco and a Francesca Lo Muzzo. I would be looking for the town ,date and any witness's present. Also possible parents names?

Thanking You in advance;
Jim De Marco

Happy to help :D

The witnesses for the church celebration are squeezed into the margin of the right column.
They appear to be Luigi Purrazza(sp?), and Salvatore Coffaro.

The witnesses for the civil marriage are on page 2. If you post that page, or a link to it, I'll read those for you.

I seen that you've been helping my sister in-law Ellen Catusco with her genealogy on Italian Genealogy as well :D

Page 2 gives date of posting of banns as 28 March

Page 3 lists documents provided to the official
1 - acts of births of the spouses
2 - acts of death of the parents and of the first spouses of future spouses (this line makes no sense to me in this record???? - I think this may be the incorrect page two.
3 - certificate of notification showing no opposition

Witnesses
Vincenzo Catarella, 34, farmer
Giuseppe Catarella, 30, farmer
