Looking for John Bossi

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Looking for John Bossi

Post by mariabeth »

I believe my great great grandfather emmigrated to the United States around 1872. He was born about 1848, and settled in West Orange New Jersey. I'm not sure what town/village he came from in ITaly. If you can help me find any info on his italian citizenship and naturalization it would help me greatly.
IF any one can help locate any information I would appreciate it.
thanks

Hi MariaBeth,

Please provide as much information on your gr, gr. garandfather as you can.

When did he die? Wife's name & birth year? Names of their children & years of birth?

What US records do you have for him? His death certificate, ship's manifest, birth certificate of any child born in US are some of the places that may provide town of origin.

Welcome to the forum. Will Wait to hear from you.
