I'm trying to figure out the bride's mother's surname.
US records from Ancestry indicate Walaschi
Looking at the marriage atti it appears to be Walaschi
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... c=2043811
Looking at the documents in the marriage allegati it appears to be Waraschi
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... c=2043811
and in looking at the only child being born in 1883 named Maria Menconi with a father named Francesco it looks like either Owaraschi or Awaraschi

Re: Bride's mother's surname
I think the surname is Nolaschi
NOLASCHI
NOLASCO

Re: Bride's mother's surname
Erudita,
What do you think is going on with the A or O that starts the surname in the birth record?

Re: Bride's mother's surname
I believe that you're correct on the Nolaschi.
Here is the marriage atti, it's clear as day here.

Kevin
This is the birth act from 1881, #542 for the Maria who married in 1907. Her name was Maria Teresa Rosa Menconi, daughter of Francesco of Costantino and Assunta Nolaschi. The notation for her marriage is in the margin of this birth record.
I still don't know what is written after Assunta in the other record. It looks like Amarosela/Annarosela (not even a name I can find) or something like that. I don't see a remarriage for Francesco in the Capannori index, so I really don't know what to make of Assunta's second name in the 1883 birth record.
