Just to add more confirmation...Antonio was born in Caserta, in Baia e Latina (See attached: Born on April 14, 1860 to Rafaele Gallucci and Catterina di Nocera).

So it is nearly certain that Charlotte, our great-great grandfather's (step) daughter, is also from Caserta. That said, Caserta has a number of municipalities to choose from, so pinpointing the exact area will take some time, but I think you're on the right track.

Hmm...interesting detail. I've hit a brick wall trying to track down our respective great-great-grandfather's first wife (more here,https://www.italiangenealogy.com/forum/ ... 52#p245652 if interested), and I'd assumed she lived in the same vicinity of Caserta. Nobody in the family has been able to find anything about her apart from an obituary in a newspaper. We don't know where she was born, where/when they married, etc. Any help would be appreciated (I've already checked with the diocese and they have no records of her marriage or death...neither does the cemetery).

Some additional info on Maria Champ (Ciampa) can be found here. I haven't had a chance to talk with this distant cousin of ours in about a year, but he has Maria Ciampa's parents listed as: Severino Ciampa and Giovannina Scimia http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/62399496 ... PUBJs=true He's got a much more robust version of ancestry than I do, so probably uncovered a clue that I can't see.

Are there any microfilm records for Conca della Campania after 1865?

Not on Familysearch nor Antenati. Only about 1200-1300 residents currently. Your best best is to write for records to see if you can find clues that will take you back before 1866.

I find it surprising that there are records on Ancestry from before 1865, but not the period 1866-1900.
