need help transcribing and translating an 1877 Italian Birth Record

Post by GeneTree »

I have almost completed a transcription and translation of my wife's uncle's 1877 birth record for Domenico Di Liso. I have attached the original Atti di Nascita, my incomplete transcription, and my incomplete translation.

I would appreciate help in first completing the transcription and in second completing the translation.

In the original left hand column under the name Di Liso, Domenico there are two lines of Italian writing which says something about 1878. I have transcribed and translated the balance of this left column.

The bottom of the original has several lines of Italian writing that I do not understand. The balance of the right hand column is fairly complete except where I do not know the original word or am unsure of my guess.

In my transcription in the right hand column I have add question marks (??) where i do not know the Italian word or words.

Thank you for any help in this project.

Actually the date June 14, 1878 ("14 giugno 1878") is that of Chiara's birth. The marriage occurred on April 25, 1901.

Thank you, mmogno, for your four extra attachments and your trascrizione. You have been most helpful in my request. I was able to copy and paste your trascrizione to Google Translate to get a perfect English translation. You make all of this seem so easy and I know it takes time. Thank you for your dedication and patience. I appreciate this site and Forum. :D

Opening the word file above, it looked unfinished. I don't know if it got corrupted or changed (mmogno's work is usually perfect), but here is my suggested corrections to the word document. There is a word version and a pdf version. Changes in red.
