Hi I don't know if anyone can help me.
My grandfather has the most generic Neapolitan Italian name: Anthony Esposito. He was born in Bridgeport, CT in 1903 Oct 31. I think I may know his parents names, but there's very little available to confirm it. As far as I know, Giuseppe Esposito (born circa feb 18 1880 Avellino, Campania) and Catarina Balsano (born circa 1880 Naples) are their names.
So, this is what I have:
Giuseppe & Catarina
|
Anthony, Arthur, Anne, Fred (Frank & Marie also possible siblings)
|
Toni-Marie (my mom by Anthony)
Anyone able to confirm? Help?

Re: The dreaded Esposito last name
I'm new here, and still waiting for a moderator (hello? hello?) to review and publish my first posts.
Anyway, I am also new to researching Italian genealogy and I didn't realize Esposito was an extremely common Neapolitan name. I have Esposito on my family tree as well, and they were also from Naples. I am going to Italy in a few months and considering a trip to Naples to "connect" with the ancestors, but wonder how difficult it would be to get any information.
(My great-grandmother on my father's side was Serafina Esposito born in 1882 and her parents were Gaëtan, b 1841 and Giovanna - née Conte - b 1853.)
