Dated Oct 3, 1881 in Ariano at 12:30-in the house located at #390 via Nazionale

Concordia Giardino, the prospective bride, is in imminent danger of dying and her request to be united in marriage with Filippo is supported by a doctor’s certificate, from Doctor Giuseppe Franza, dated today, indicating her medical condition and that she intends to contract marriage with Filippo Rappuccio, with whom she has a daughter, born from their natural union, and whom she wants legitimized by the marriage. She had previously contracted marriage with Angelantonio Grosso, who died on Jan 31, 1880 (I can't make out in what town). Concordia and Filippo’s daughter, Maddalena Rappuccio., was born on Feb 4, 1881 in Ariano. Concordia Giardino is age 38, born and resident in Ariano, daughter of Francesco Giardino, born and resident in Ariano, and Antonia de Filippis, born and resident there. Filippo Rappuccio is age 27, born and resident in Ariano, son of Antonio R., and Maddalena di Priore.

The declaration made by the spouses was done in the presence of witnesses who also attested that there were no impediments to the marriage. The couple was not in any way related to each other, in any degree which would have proved an obstacle to their marrying each other. Witnesses: Pasquale Petrosino, 26, lawyer, and Gaetano Corolla, 30, a tailor.

They were united in matrimony, and their marriage legitimized the birth of their daughter Maddalena.

The only document required for this marriage was the doctor’s certificate concerning Concordia’s health condition.

Hi Donna
Hope all is with you. I read the document earlier and just had time to type out the info, which I hope is accurate, but I think that now that you have my translation, you should be able to find the info I provided in the document. If you find anything questionable, please let me know. I thought there was a correction to her age in the document, but don't see what the age would be other than what I gave you.

It's starting to thunder here again, so this may be all for tonight.
