Dated 3 April 1871 - received from the Comune of Motta d'Affermo - the following:
Year 1871, day 31 of March at the town office at 7 PM
Before me Vincenzo Russo, Mayor of this town of Motta d'Affermo, Mistretta, Province of Messina, appeared Salvatore Prinsi, of deceased Rocco, 50, shoemaker, uncle of the bride, and Filippo Alferi, son of Giuseppe, age 34, farmer, both residing in this town, to act as witnesses...
Appearing was Nicolo' Glorioso, age 24, mariner residing in Santo Stefano Camastra, son of living Antonino, mariner residing in Santo Stefano, and of deceased Provvidenza Azzaretto
AND
Vincenza La Monaca, age 16, weaver, residing in this town, daughter of living Domenico, tile maker/roofer, and of living Giuseppa Prinsi, weaver, both residing in Motta.
The couple presented the certificate of Publication of banns that resulted in noo opposition to the marriage.

I can't fins Nicolo's mother. Ive looked in the all the mortifications records.

Meanwhile, I do not know if you already have this, the birth act of Nicolo' Glorioso in 1846
Mother Provvidenza Azzaretto is age 38, and Antonino is age 40.
I will see if I can locate a marriage for this couple. Perhaps it will offer a clue?

Yes- I've been using Antenati. In the Morti it only goes up to 1860 with the missing 1859, then the other one is from 1861 to 1865.
I found the marriage of Providenza and Antonino today, they married in 1830.
