Missing MC-Obtaining Court order in NYC e-filing help

Post by CiaoGina »

Hello all,

The SF consulate is asking for a court order from a NYC judge stating that my GPs were married because I do not have a MC. My genealogist has looked everywhere for years and it does not exist.

I have a packet of 'proof' that they were married. I tried it here in CA Superior Court and the judge said I have to go to NYC because that is where they lived.

I have tried to efile and it is impossible to figure out. I have spoken to several people there plus their supervisors who have no idea what to tell me to do and don't even understand what I am telling them when I say I need a statement from the court or a declaratory statement or judgement and when I explain why.

Has anyone done anything similar with NYC that can help me?

This is frustrating because different consulates take different documents. IE Houston will take a letter of not found which I have but not SF.
