Bonaserra,
Would you mind translating what I believe might be the death record of my 4th great grandfather, Domenico Negri in 1803. I cannot read this well and do not have any other definitive documents to confirm this which is unfortunate. I do know that he was deceased at the time of his son, Giuseppe's marriage in 1805. Thank you so very much.

Re: Please help with Latin? translation of Negri death record 1803
Hello,
I continued to look for Domenico's death record and found two other Negri listings on film #1736, see below, however, I believe these both are a lady?, Domenica, not Domenico. Is this correct?

Thanks again, Jefferie (jrbak)

Yes, those two records are both for females named Domenica.
The one on the left page is dated Sept 23, 1795 and is for Domenica, the wife of Giuseppe who, in turn, was the son of deceased GiovanniBattista Negri. She was about age 60.
The one on the right is dated Feb 22, 1796 and is for Domenica, the widow of deceased Giovanni who, in turn, was the son of deceased Giuseppe Negri. She was about age 75.

Dear Erudita (Erudita74),
It may turn out that the first Domenica might be for my family after all but I have to confirm this with more records. So as you and Angela have both said, all the translation may be useful in the future! Thanks for the translation. I thought I had thanked you for this before but could not find my reply to you. So sorry.

You've already thanked me many times, and I really appreciate that, so no need for you to ever apologize to me. So often, posters never say thank you, and most of us are volunteers here. Latin church records are difficult to decipher with often many abbreviations and no set format for them. You may find that, on some generation level, records you don't currently think are related, do eventually connect to your ancestry. So keep all the info, in case you need it at a later date.
