Translation please?

Post by AmandaP »

Good morning! I have posted a death act that I would like translated to English. I have an Anna and Antonio Amoriello in my family and I'm just wanting to see if the people listed in the death act are my Anna and Antonio.

Also, any tips or tricks to read the old school handwriting?

See below. If that's an online image it's usually better to post a link to the image, as this one would be better at the higher resolution sites like Antenati and FamilySearch have.

18 November 1831, Comune of Luzzano appeared Domenico Amoriello, age 56, laborer, domiciled in Luzzano, and Alessandro Massaro?, age 50, laborer, husband of the deceased, who declared that on November 18, 1831 at 8 a.m. at his home, Anna Amoriello died, age 45, wife of Alessandro Massaro, born in Luzzano, farmer, domiciled in Luzzano, daughter of Francesco Amariello, laborer, domiciled in Luzzano, and of Antonia Amoriello, domiciled here with her husband.

I'll try to post the direct links in the future. Thanks for your translation! That's not the Anna I thought it was. It's hard to read the script handwriting sometimes.
