Hi,
Can someone please transcribe the death act from Antenati- Benevento- Colle 1848 Image #34 Act 63. It should be for Nicolangelo Iacobaccio born 1794-1796, wife Libera Pizzella. Does it give any more information I could use such as his parents names? I find it difficult to read. Thanks.

Hi there
I think this is the record that you are looking for here, not No 63:
Death No 80: Nicolangelo Iacobaccio
Colle: 25 September 1848
Died the same day, in his house, Nicolangelo Iacobaccio, husband of Liberta Pizzella, 52 yo, born in Colle, a contadino, son of the deceased Giuseppe (Iacobaccio) and of the deceased Fedela Gagliardo.

Re: Help with death act of Nicolangelo Iacobaccio
Thank you so much.
Would you mind telling me how you found the correct act? I am always having trouble. I looked at the index (last few pages) looking for the name and the act # next to it and I'm always wrong. What am I doing wrong?

After seeing that you had given the wrong Act No and image, I did exactly what you did. With the information you gave, I looked up the index, found the person you were looking for in the index, and then looked for the record. I think that possibly your eyes just played tricks on you and you looked up at the number of the previous record in the index (ie No 63), instead of No 80.
Those indices that I looked at are really well set out with the "talley" on the left, then the deceased's name, the parents names, the date of death, and then the Act (Record) Number. An error that a lot of people make (you didn't) is that they go looking for the "talley" number, and then get completely lost. I don't know what your other indices are like, but sometimes in some towns only the "talley" number is given, and not the Act Number. In that case you would go by the "event" date given i.e. birth, death, marriage. (In the case of Act No 80 - 25 September.)
