Post by jrbak »

Hello again,
I am in need of some help with additions/corrections to the 1708 birth record for Blasius? Negro.

I believe it says : Blasius the legitimate and natural son of Lorenzo and Elizabeth, spouses Negro, baptized on 3 Feb 1708 ?? church in Piverone. PP Antonius Sandina. ?? and Margarita , wife of Joseph Anthony Gagna.

I believe it says : Biago (Latin - Blasius - yes) the legitimate and natural son of Lorenzo and Elisabetta, spouses Negro, born and baptized on 3 Feb 1708 (Yes) , in this Parish Church, Piverone. PP Antonio Gaudina (then it looks like it reads "a' Florano?)?? and Margarita , wife of Giuseppe Antonio Gagna.

Just my two cents. It possibly needs more editing.

It might be "a Florano"= "from Fiorano", now Fiorano Canavese, province of Torino.

Ciao Pippo

Yes, I wondered about that too, but then flagged it because the spelling was different. Record No 64 mentions the same town.

Dear Angela (AngelaGrace56) and PippoM,
Thank you for the translation help Angela, so much and then for trying to figure out the town too; thanks to both of you! I will look to see where this town is in the province of Turin and how far from Piverone.
Thanks again,
