Giuseppe Tata and his lovely bride :)

Post by harleynut97 »

...who I can't figure out her name. In all seriousness, this is the last record I will be able to find in the Tata line. What is really exciting about this record is there are a lot of names and dates of other relatives of the bride and groom.

-I believe the marriage date is July 12, 1819
-I know the groom's name is Giuseppe Maria Tata, but I am having problems determining the brides last name (I think her first name is Alesandra)
-Hoping to get as much info as possible about both sets of parents
-Names & dates of any of the deceased relatives that are noted

index-Entry 16

Thank you so much for any help you can offer - Carl

Thank you very much Biff. I did find a death document for Dominico. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there are any death documents for 1807 (Paolina).

Really appreciate your help- Carl

Thank you very much mmogno. Regarding the death document of Paolina Grosso. Does it give the age of Paolina at the time of her death? I saw a 45 written, but I wasn't sure if that was her age.

The other question is regarding the surname of the bride Alesandrina. I keep seeing a "D" in front of the name. I also saw it in a number of death indexes. Would her surname be D' Ortone?

I am reading Alesandrina's surname as d'Ortona.
I believe Paolina Grosso was age 46 at the time of death.

I believe the bride's mother's name is Lucia Bassano, not Bosiano, (although in some of the allegati it looks more like Basciano). I'm still with Bassano.

Unfortunately that name (Lucia) is pretty high up on my tree so I don't think I'll find any other documents which would allow for other comparisons. It will be interesting to see what some of the others think. - Carl

In this record Lucia's surname is clearly Basciano.

And here as well - also seeing Basciano.

The last record in the processetti is the only one that appears to read as Bassano. Since that is an extract taken from the marriage act, and since the marriage act appears to read Bassano, it is likely that is how the clerk read it.
The other extracts, taken from two different original documents, clearly have the name as Basciano.
That is what I believe the name is.
