Assistance with 1813 Latin birth record of Pietro Antonio Bertola

Post by jrbak »

Good Evening,
May I please have some assistance with additions and/or corrections to the birth record for Pietro Antonio (I think) Bertola.

17th day of January in the same parish,
Pietro Antonio legitimate and natural son of Lorenzo from Giuseppe and Maria Olearo, spouses Bertola, baptized onthe same day, R.D. Francesco Fiera. Godfather was Antonio from Antonio et? Olearo or? Dominica wife of Giovanni.

With gratitude!!

Dear Mmogno,
Thank you so much for the corrections. I thought Olearo was a last name and I got confused with this. Thank you for clearing this up for me. I appreciate your help so much.

Just wanting to clarify something. Olearo is definitely the surname. For some reason the minister or clerk changed the order of how he had written the names towards the end of the record. I believe it should've read "Godparents were Antonio Olearo, from (ie son of) Antonio, and Domenica Olearo, wife of Giovanni.

Also, I am reading that the minister who baptised the child was R.D. Francesco Fietta.

Dear Angela,
I thought perhaps that this was the way they read; I presumed so. Thank you for the clarification as it always helps me.
