-I believe Ignazio's wife was Maria Di Simone
-His Father was Carmelo and Mother Maria Granozzo
I would like to get confirmation of
-Date of Death for Ignazio ( I know the year was 1867)
-Ignazio's age at death
-Is there a way of telling if Ignazios spouse (Maria Di Simone) was still alive at the time of his death?
Thanks for any help you can provide. - Carl

-His Father was Carmelo and Mother Maria Granozzo - looks like it ends in "o" but the spelling in Trapani is with an ending "i"
I would like to get confirmation of
-Date of Death for Ignazio ( I know the year was 1867) - 5 November at 8 AM (same day as the record)
-Ignazio's age at death 76
-Is there a way of telling if Ignazios spouse (Maria Di Simone) was still alive at the time of his death? He was listed as "sposo" (husband) and not "vedovo" (widower) - so she was living at the time of his death.

Re: Death Record Ignazio Scuderi
I better ask a followup question... On this death record the age was 76 and he died in 1867.. so that would make his birth in 1791
But take a look at his 1822 marriage record below. I believe the record says he was 28... so that would put his birth in 1794.

Unfortunately I there are no birth records that go back to before 1820.. So I guess if I have to take an eductated guess of his birth year, would I probably be better using the marriage record?

Re: Death Record Ignazio Scuderi
Yes, the marriage act should be accurate since the bride and groom were required to present their birth acts for the marriage to take place. The death act relies on the information provided by persons who may not have the facts correct.harleynut97 wrote: ↑03 Dec 2019, 23:41 I better ask a followup question... Re: Death Record Ignazio Scuderi
OK Tessa, that makes good sense, I'll go with 1794 as the year of birth. I appreciate your help again - Carl
