I'm looking forward to the birth (around 1837) and marriage (maybe late 1850s) certificate from my grandgranddad from Italy, he lived and emigrated to Brazil in 1888.
I asked the parocchia, but they still did not replied, meanwhile I found this land files from Rovigo and Padova.
He lived in Castelmassa (Massa Superiore) and maried Elisabetta Caleffi most likely there.
I've found several Caleffi's (probably her father) and several Mazzali's (some Luigi's), as the list is from 1846 he might be 9 years old at the time, I'd like to understand what the q.m or q.n means as it on the side of the main names.
All suggestions are welcome!

Meaning of q.m or q.n in a "Registro dei Possessori"
Re: Meaning of q.m or q.n in a "Registro dei Possessori"
Hi, I believe that the better approach is to post the arrival:
012 074 00458 28/06/1888 MAZZALI LUIGI 51 MARIDO ITALIANA LA FRANCE CASADO
012 074 00458 28/06/1888 ELISABETTA 46 ESPOSA ITALIANA LA FRANCE CASADO
012 074 00458 28/06/1888 VITTORIO 13 FILHO ITALIANA LA FRANCE SOLTEIRO
012 074 00458 28/06/1888 GENOVEFFA 09 FILHA ITALIANA LA FRANCE SOLTEIRO
012 074 00458 28/06/1888 RIZIERE 17 FILHO ITALIANA LA FRANCE SOLTEIRO
Rizieri is the oldest son and here the his birthdate by military leverage:
MAZZALI Rizieri 180,00 13/11/1871 CASTELNOVO BARIANO RO 1871 MASSA SUPERIORE MASSA SUPERIORE Luigi Caleffi Elisabe
Birth record of Rizieri:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cc=1482864
(Luigi Mazzali was 35 old on 1871, son of late Gregorio, and Elisabetta Caleffi was 31 old daughter of Giovanni Battista.)
Vittorio birthdate by military leverage:
MAZZALI Vittorio Giuseppe 136,00 06/09/1875 MASSA SUPERIORE RO 1875 MASSA SUPERIORE MASSA SUPERIORE Luigi Caleffi Isabell
here the Vittorio Birth record:

You can see that Rizieri was born in Castelnovo Bariano and Vittorio in Massa Superiore. Maybe the couple married in Castenovo Bariano around 1870..
The parish don't reply to you without to provide sure data, almost some sure data, as the paternity, almost.. and to know with precision where Luigi was born..
And need to pay.
However if you descentding from Vittorio or Rizieri you need just of Birth certificate. If you descending from some other child born in Brasil you need of baptism certificate with Curia Visa and marriage certificate also with Curia Visa..
