Hi Rose,

Thought at some point you may want vital records from Baltimore.
Here is what is available @ Family History Center. Click on link, then click on "View Film Notes"

http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library ... umns=*,0,0

This is info on finding naturalization records for Baltimore. Leonard was an alien on the 1920, but naruralized by the 1930.

Hope it helps.

Hi Rosa,

Forgot to mention that the naturalization records may include the ship of travel in 1889 and Port of Arrival. If we can get that and/or Augustina's maiden name, we will try again to locate the manifest/s.

Good luck in your research.

Hope you will keep us posted.

Have you obtained death records on family?

2 records found in MARYLAND INDEXES (Death Records, BC, Index) 1875-1880, 1943-1949
for Name of Deceased: PISTORIO,
New Search in MARYLAND INDEXES (Death Records, BC, Index) 1875-1880, 1943-1949

Name Date of Death Certificate No. Microfilm No.
Pistorio, Leo 1944/11/04 G 22327 CR 48,271
Pistorio, Joseph 1945/01/25 G-25182 CR 48,273

Maryland archives is available online and for free........however, not all is indexed by a search option and requires you to scroll thru records alphabetically.........

May not have been home when the census taker came a knocking!

On Leonardo's certificate, the cemetery where he is buried should be listed. You should be able to call or write the cemetery and ask if there are any other burials in that plot. Maybe a way to obtain death information on Augustina.

Hope it helps.

Having death dates is an excellent way to track obituaries......as a resource, they are my favorite!! Some are like having a mini tree all mapped out for you, surnames, maiden names, place of birth and parents names can all be found in one place......I did run across one in 1917 which was very limited.......but all in all I have had the best of luck with them!!
