Good day,
Is it possible to find any information about my Italian grand mother that came to South Africa from Italy after the 1900's with a little boy. The info I posses are as follows: Her name was Suzanna Filberta and Surname Catanzano or Catanzaro. Their was a newspaper article about her here in Cape Town in1937 stating she was a Countessa from Italy and Not interested in the inheritance and fortune, mother of claimant to Italian title, former countess in Cape Town", of probably 3 July 1937. Would like to know in what year she was born and when they came to SA by ship. Thank you, I await any info.

Digitized records begin in 1866 on Family Search.

Do you know if she married in Rocca Canavese? We may get lucky and find the marriage allegati which would contain the birth act.

Thank you so much for replying, I know sure that Filberta Suzanna Catanzano was still alive in 1937 as per my one of my adverts placed here requesting info.

Filberta S Catanzano with her son Nicolai was the only two that came to South Africa. She got married to a Smith in Parow, Cape Town area.
