Spagnuolo Pellegrino Birth Location

Hi Everyone:

I am working on my cousin's ancestry. I am researching Pellegrino Spagnuolo born in 1892. In looking at records, it states he was from Toretta. Since I have not heard of that town I looked it up and found a Torretta, Palermo, Sicily. I looked for him in those records and have not had any success. I then looked to his wife and started researching her line. The name is Virginia Siccardi Spagnolo. I was able to find that she was born in Mercogliano, Avellino, Italy. While looking I on a map a found a Torelli/Torette nearby. However, I don't see it listed a town in Antenati listed. Is Torette a part of Mercogliano? I looked for Pellegrino Spagnuolo in Mercogliano and didn't find him, however, I found lots of Spaguolo's.

Any hints or advice would be appreciated.

Pellegrino mother maiden name was Maria PAGANO. The arrival with the little two sons: Carmine and Pellegrino was on 10 Nov 1898 joining to husband Antonio in Paterson, NJ
