Birth Record Translation

Post by dpv »

Good evening.

The handwritten ones where the person has a difficulty-to-read cursive makes it a challenge for me.

Image: 1460
Item: 7

I see it is a birth certificate for Giuseppe Francesco Buonaiutio, but I am having some difficulty on the other items. If someone can look to determine:

DOB
Father (and father's father)..and age
Mother (and mother's father)...and age

and anything else specific, that would help.

Thanks so much.

father = Francesco, age 25, son of Sebastiano
mother = looks like Carmina or Carminella, age 28, I can't read her last name, her father might be Vito

I'm sure someone else will give you a better translation.

DOB - 21 February 1870 at 1 am
Surname is Buonaiuto (only one "i")
The father was a coal seller, and the mother was a farmer.
Father was born in Moschiano, mother was born in Petina.

Great. Thank you, both! The fact that the father was born in Moschiano is interesting. Petina was isolated so (it seems) almost everyone was born, lived, married and died in Petina.
