Hello, I have been trying to track down any information about my great grandfather.
I a hoping to get some information from his death certificate.
Would anyone be able to access this on FamilySearch?
Thank you!!!

Yes. That is him.
I have seen these documents.
But, I am looking for his death certificate in order to find his date of birth, place of birth and mother's maiden name.

You could search for records online for the town of Calitri in Avellino.
Perhaps start with birth records around May 1868.

Okay. Maybe they got married in Calitri or her birth record notes her marriage.

It's also possible when his widow remarried she had to produce his death certificate to confirm he was deceased.
Why not just purchase his death certificate from NY?

Yes, I am trying to purchase his death certificate.
I ordered it from New Rochelle, where he was buried. I received a letter back that they do not have the record.
I just realized that he died in Manhattan, NY.
