DiNuzzo in Maddaloni

Post by nyrnd1 »

I am looking for more information of my Great Grandparents. I have information from a birth notice of my Grandma which i am attaching. You can see my Great Grandparents were Gennaro and Rosa Savinelli DiNuzzo. I also can see their Father's names. I am unable to find much more but am looking page by page. I was wondering if someone could help me with the translation for the note on the left column? Thank you very much.

I think it notes his marriage to Rosaria in 1933.

It possibly is 1933. I'm reading that she (Immacolata di Nuzzo) married ........? Francesco Di Lucca/Di Lucia in Maddaloni? I think it may have the Act No first and then the date of the marriage? Not sure. If the poster would be so kind as to link us to the online record, that would be very helpful. These snapshots arn't so good to work with. Ta.

Fantastic! You found the processetti as well. The date was really hard to decipher. I could read "Sposito" but didn't realise it was a given name. I guessed the year probably would't be 1933. Eventually I found a Tree pertaining to this couple which gave their year of marriage as 1918. I looked through those records, but of course it wasn't there, and then decided to go from 1815 to 1819, so only missed finding it by a year.

Best to you.

Whoops. I intended to write 1915 to 1918 not 1815 to 1819. Time for a break I think.

You are all the nicest and kindest people ever! I can't thank you enough for filling in many blanks for me. My Grandfather was Francesco DeLucia who married Grandma Immacolata. I found out that Grandpop had a second surname of Sposito which you have indicated here. Grandpop was from Cervino and did marry Grandma in Maddaloni. They came to the USA in 1920. Their first child was born in Maddaloni in 1919 so the marriage in 1918 sounds perfect. Some of you had some questions and suggestions for me, so i will go back and respond to you. Again, thank you so much. My Brother and i are planning to come there next year and this is very helpful to us.

This is Grandpop Francesco's birth. The notation as i understand was a second surname which was Sposito. Thank you all again.

Thank you. This confirms my Great Grandfather Gennaro and his Father Nicola. I see my Great Great Grandmother's name was Elisabetta. My Grandma went by the name Elizabeth in the USA.
