Italian tattoo help

I am looking to get a tattoo the represents my italian heritage. I have been looking every where and havnt found much, only like flags. If anyone could throw ideas of italian symbols, history, links of italian tattoos, or just anything

My son's name is Vinccenzo. His godfather got Italy Tattooed on his shin with the colors of the Italian flag shaded inside and "Vinnie" written across it. To my suprise, it came out very nice.

maybe if you find the meaning of your last name and your family crest and kinda play with it.

at least then you know nobody else will have the same thing.
