In searching the birth records for my grandfather.. what does uf1 stand for? Is that the specific office his birth record is stored? Can I go there to get a copy? How does it work?

"uf1" probably stands for "Ufficio 1".
The City of palermo is diveided into various sections, and the one of your interest is the first

The name is Alfonso Imbarrato.
According to Google document I found his record says his birthday is Nov 18 1902 - but i think it should be Sept. it also has the notes “uf1” and the record numbers 442 and 2272. Would love to figure out how to see it or get a copy...

His sister was born in Termini Imererse 1883 May 7th Maria Imbarrato daughter of Santo Imbarrato age 33 and Teresa Sinatra age 19

I haven’t been able to find information for Santi/Santo Imbarrato. I wonder how to track that..

As for Teresa Sinatra I’m curious if you know how to look for records around her birth (possibly 1864) for Vallelunga (where I think she could have been born). The earliest year I found is 1866...
