November 23, 1888 at the town hall in Orsogna appeared Eleutterio Barbato, age 42, farmer, domiciled in Orsogna, who declared that at 5 a.m. on November 22, in the home at #14 Vico Ottavo Corso Orientale, Maria Luigia d’Alleva, his wife, a farmer living with him, gave birth to a male child who was presented to me and to whom was given the name of Rocco.

Giovanni Mincone, age 35, farmer
F? Pace, age 44, farmer

Just curious - what do you do with the witness info? They typically have no more connection to the family in a birth or death act than the city official that writes it all down.

I have had a couple with my mother's family in Sicily that were relatives and I was able to find their birth and death registries and add them to family when I looked them up.

Thank you!
