May 19, 1904 at town hall in Ari appeared Vitale Passeri, of unknown parents, age 48, farmer, domiciled in Ari, who declared that at 7:10 p.m. on May 15, in the home at #277 Borgo San Pietro, from his union with an unmarried woman who was not a relative that would allow the child to not be recognized, was born a female child who was presented to me and to whom was given the name of Mercede.

Witnesses were Giusepppe Centosanti, age 46, shoemaker, and Luigi Salerno, age 31, tailor, both residents of Ari.

In the margin to the left:

Merecede Passeri was the legitimate daughter of Vitale (Passeri) and Elisabetta Laerzia due to their subsequent marriage, celebrated today and inserted into the register in the comune as number 23. Ari, November 12, 1904.
