How well did I translate this notice?

Post by jeanne55 »

My attempt to translate!
Carolina Troisi was of an old family in Montefredane, The Troisi's were
attestants for hundreds of years in the country; her current husband, Sabino Dente, was born in 1842; in 1912, was an emotional time, because the 2 children emigrated to USA, Federico and Giovanni, to start a new life.

Was I close? Carolina was the sister of my great grandfather, Luigi Troisi.
Her 2 sons came to the US, along with my grandfather, Giuseppe Troisi
(age 19), aboard the SS Prinzess Irene, in March 1912. Thanks, Jeanne

Carolina Troisi was from an old family of Montefredane, the Troisi family had been living in the town for centuries: she married a peer, Sabino Dente, born in 1842 like her: in 1912 she was still alive, because the 2 children who emigrated to the USA, Federico and Giovanni, declared she was still alive.

As a retired middle/high school science teacher and this being my first attempt to translate written Italian, I'll happily take the A-! Thanks, Jeanne
