Bellettieri/di Melfi

Hello. I am looking for information on my Belelttieri/di Melfi great-great grandparents. My great grandmother, Caterina Bellettieri was born I believe in Anzi around 1866. Her parents were Antonio Bellettieri (1834-1909) and Filomena de Melfi (1839-1885). She also had a brother, Nicola (1869-1929). They moved to New York in the early/mid 1870's. I have Filomena's death certificate from 1885, but unfortunately, it does not state the names of her parents. The story goes that after she died, Antonio returned back to Anzi and married Raffaele Cirone, and had a son Rocco. Rocco came to New York, but his father remained in Anzi. I am looking to find the names of the next set of grandparents. I think Antonio's parents were Nicola Bellettieri (1798-1868) and Caterina Giorgio, but cannot trace Filomena back any futher.

Any help would be so much appreciated.

I wish the small towns in Italy would put family books together. I ordered an 1800 page, 2 book series on all the families that lived in Orzydorf, Romania. I knew my mother's mother side of the family came from there, but was told the church burned down and all records were lost. Last year, this book was published and it listed every family that ever lived in this town, going back to the late 1700's when it was founded. It listed every family, their children, birth and death dates with links to their spouses and their families. I gained over 300 people in my family tree from those books. I have roots in Anzi, San Fele, Novara di Sicilia and Naples and something like this would be so beneficial. But in the meantime, I appreciate all of the help I receive from this site.
